I’m Dora –
It Started With a Big Fat Fusion Wedding
In 2017, I planned a wedding I’ll never forget — my own “Big Fat Fusion Wedding.” I wove together two different cultures with many separate traditions into one beautiful ceremony and reception. It was a massive wedding with 800 guests at the ceremony and 400 guests at the reception.
As I planned it, I noticed something...
My husband and I come from opinionated families. And everyone had their own suggestions on how we should plan our wedding day. What would the colours be? What should we eat at the reception? Would there be a live band or a DJ for the ceremony?
Yet, my husband and I knew we wanted to tailor it to our love story, no one else’s. So I painstakingly put together every last detail, including ways to honour them, while staying true to my vision and not compromising our love story.
The end result? A wedding day that flowed so seamlessly, everyone still raves about it.
Too many couples go through the same issue. Everyone wants to be involved to “have their name on it.” But the truth is — it’s your wedding day with your partner.
So I’m dedicated to helping couples throughout the Greater Toronto Area plan the wedding of their dreams and offer the support they need.
Because, it’s your wedding day — and your love story deserves to be told, regardless of what other opinions anyone else has about how it should look!
When I’m not
Planning Weddings?
The moments when I’m not attending planning meetings, calling vendors, or creating your vision board with an immaculate aesthetic?
I’m soaking up time in the sunshine with my husband and three kiddos.
And I’m, at least, dreaming of being at the beach.
But my organization mindset gets in a frenzy if I spend too much time away from wedding planning. So, I get my fix by sitting on the couch, no less than two feet away from a Coke Zero, watching The Home Edit on Netflix
